 Pesotum is a small village of about 520 people, located at the crossroads of I-57 and County Route 45 in Champaign County. Its residents are protected by a well-trained volunteer fire department of 25 firefighters.
Pesotum's citizens are served by a group of volunteers who make up the Pesotum Athletic Association, an organization that supports sports programs for the community.
School-aged children in Pesotum attend the schools of Community Unit School District #7 in Tolono.
